Colorado Springs, Colorado – Cutter Aviation celebrated the opening of its new world-class FBO Terminal at Colorado Springs Municipal Airport with a Grand Opening reception on August 3rd, 2017. Festivities included a formal ribbon cutting ceremony, a static aircraft display showcasing a Gulfstream 280, as well as TBM and HondaJet aircraft sold by Cutter Aviation, tours of the new FBO Terminal, refreshments, and speeches from Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers, Director of Aviation Greg Phillips, Cutter Colorado Springs General Manager Calvin Martin, and President of Cutter Aviation Will Cutter.
Cutter Aviation began its FBO operation at Colorado Springs Municipal Airport in August 2006 with the purchase of the existing FBO, Discount Fuels. Over the past decade, as activity and fuel sales steadily grew, Cutter began plans for expansion and entered into negotiations with Colorado Springs Airport for additional space on the west side of the airport. Cutter ultimately leased eight additional acres which would become the new site for the mountain retreat themed Executive FBO Terminal and a 62,000-gallon state-of-the-art fuel farm. Adjacent to the new FBO is a 23,000 square foot hangar that Cutter purchased from the City in 2015.
