ELLIOTT AVIATION COMPLETES THEIR 10TH CITATION EXCEL/XLS GARMIN G5000 INSTALLATION

Moline, IL, February 17, 2020 - Elliott Aviation, Garmin’s leading retrofitter and a leader in business aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, has completed their industry-leading, 10th Garmin G5000 equipped Citation Excel/XLS aircraft. The aircraft work scope also included a Doc 6, engine hot sections, cabinets, Gogo Avance L3 along with Elliott Aviation’s WiFi enablement STC.

The Garmin G5000 for the Citation Excel/XLS replaces all existing Honeywell Primus 1000 avionics, including the autopilot and flight director. The retrofit has WAAS/LPV, ADS-B, XM weather, electronic charts, SafeTaxi, engine monitor data, and emergency descent mode. It also has optional synthetic vision, turbulence detection, SurfaceWatch, underspeed protection, Chartview, CPDLC, and lightning and hail prediction.

In addition to their success with the Citation Excel/XLS Garmin G5000 retrofit, Elliott Aviation has installed more than 25 Garmin G5000 systems in the Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP and over 350 Garmin G1000/G1000 NXi systems in King Airs. They have completed more Garmin full cockpit retrofits than all other dealers in the world, combined.

“The G5000 program for the Citation Excel and XLS has had a tremendously successful start,” said Conrad Theisen, Director of Avionics Sales at Elliott Aviation. “With well over 12 years of leading the industry in full cockpit Garmin retrofits, we take great pride in our experience. We’re happy to bring Citation Excel and XLS operators the latest avionics solution for their aircraft.”

Elliott Aviation is currently booked through June with additional Garmin G5000 systems for the Citation Excel and XLS. The 10 installations to date have been completed at both their headquarters in Moline, IL and in Des Moines, IA.
